Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California. The most junior and sole child of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher while her mother was an at-home mother. Michael, Dennis, Kevin and her sister are older. McCormick was a talented performer and dancer at a young age. She would perform puppet shows to the kids in the neighborhood she lived in. At the tender age of six, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. The result was that she would get a phone call by Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency inquiring whether the girl might be interested in pursuing a career in the field of entertainment. McCormick got her first big break in 1964. McCormick was a part of the commercial on television for Mattel's "Baby Pattaburp," that was the latest Mattel doll. The company also ran a commercial in 1964 to promote their "Chatty-Cathy" doll. Soon after, McCormick was chosen as the main character of Wind It up and It Breaks in the Playhouse at La Jolla Playhouse. 'The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from the 1,200 youngsters who had auditioned for the role of the eldest of three towheaded daughters in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick disclosed in the book published in 2008 entitled"Here's My Story": The Journey of Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice the fact she revealed that Barry Williams was her screen brother. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. This could have happened as she explained. "But the timing of our deaths was not the right one."
